Downtown sites are bad because: - too small and not safe in very congested area; - destroys existing tax revenue and thriving businesses (major economic hit to city); - very expensive for site cost and construction cost (prime downtown real estate, tearing down buildings, business re-location costs, having to build up on small site); - a huge waste of tax dollars to proceed with these sites Sixth and Reily is best site because: + 5 acre site (more than twice as large as downtown sites) + easily accessible and much less congested area + vacant lot is cost effective + promotes re-development that is occurring in that area + huge saving in federal tax dollars + economic boon to city rather than long term huge economic loss to city + Everyone in the area is behind this site! Be sure to ask for a written response! Please forward any response you get to rightsiteresponses@capitolareaneighbors.com, or print it out and send it to: Right Site Coalition, c/o 115 Locust St. Harrisburg, PA 17101 NOTE: You are encouraged to also send your copy to our federal representatives, Holden, Specter, and Casey. You have to go to their website (see the contact information provided) and use thier "contact us" page. You should be able to copy your letter into there web page.
